I have not purchased Dr. Martinez's book, but I have had the good fortune of sitting in on her presentations about this material at meetings of the Interdisciplinary Coalition of North American Phenomenologists (ICNAP). Her insights are intelligently and clearly articulated, and with a remarkable and authentic self-reflection about her own experiences that she so bravely shares with her audience. Clinical psychologists who work with clients regarding culture and sexuality would benefit from consulting her work.
