FINALLY! A comprehensive NEURO pocket guide!

5/5 stars! Im upset that this didn't come out until my PGY4 year. This may have been made by residents/fellows for residents, but I will definitely carry this well in to my attending years. Well referenced, up to date, well thought out pocket guide!
What I do have leftover is a pocket full of one-two page handouts covering various neurological topics that I had made for myself, my junior residents, and students. I can stop planning my own pocket neuro guide because someone finally did it right. Thank you.
Among the many nice things about this book, I particularly LOVE the seizure section. DOC, SE's, monitoring, etc. Clear, concise, referenced.
Minor complaints...as with all the pocket notebooks, there is a noticeable lack of white space for writing your own little notes. I understand that brevity is the key to being able to carry the guide in your white coat pocket, but maybe make the binder a TINY bit bigger so people can add a few blank note pages. And more diagrams would be nice (dermatomes, myotomes, vascular territories, etc) Finally, dosing omitted for some meds. (i.e. PD is very challenging polypharmacy, a chart or something for the drugs would have been great.) I hate getting the med recommendations from one guide and then having to cross reference to epocrates or whatever for dosing info.
All in all, a tremendously valuable resource that has set the standard for neurology pocket guides.

Complete, Concise, Portable Neurology

The Pocket Medicine has become a classic among medical students, residents. But the Pocket Neurology is a homerun for the Neurology scholar. It is an amazing compilation of the latest evidence-based decisions of conditions and syndromes. In such an evolving field this is very difficult to do. The authors are world class Neurology Residents and Professors from the Mass General Community. This book has become an instant favorite of mine. The only drawback is for the nearsighted due to the pocket format with small fonts in order to fit all the subjects in one essential booklet. Kudos to the authors! Highly recommended. Again, my favorite to have in any on-call or daily clinic.

Pocket Neurology

Excellent pocket reference book in Neurology. I used this book on my neurology clinical rotation for my 3rd year of medical school and found the book extremely helpful. Was even surprised to find rare syndromes and conditions in there with appropriate clinical care. Index is well laid out and material is easy to find. Size of book is on par with other Pocket reference books and fit in my white coat easily. Would definitely recommend.
